LeBron James and Dwyane Wade vehemently disagree with the firing of Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale, as the team had lost eight straight games after last night’s 98-88 defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets.

The 43-year-old coach was an assistant under Erik Spoelstra during the two stars’ time with the Miami Heat, and each expressed their disappointment with Grizzlies management for their decision.

Fizdale has been described as a “ride or die” type of coach and one that would go to bat for any of his players, but it seems like the same holds true for two of his former players, who have his back regardless of the situation.

The former Grizzlies coach made a huge mistake by sitting out a struggling Marc Gasol throughout the fourth quarter, opting instead to ride the hot hand of his small ball lineup, but failing to yield the right results, as his team proved unable to overcome a 14-point deficit to start the quarter, resulting in an eighth consecutive loss.

Fizdale is bound to find another opportunity in the NBA, but after becoming the second coach to be fired this NBA season, it might take some time for openings to become available.
