Two of Chicago’s most famous sons today and an NBA superstar who goes by the name LeBron James have partnered to come up with a documentary that delves into the background of athletes’ lives and also how sports play a role in shaping communities.

James and his Cleveland Cavaliers running mate Dwayne Wade, along with Hip Hop artist Chance the Rapper, are all listed as executive producers of at least one episode for the “Magnify” documentary series.

According to Fox Sports, the series is broken down into three features. The first one is “89 Blocks”, which airs this coming Sunday. The second is “Shot in the Dark”, which the trio of James, Wade, and Chance the Rapper are all involved in, though James is also part of the 89 Blocks team in partnership with Sports Illustrated and Uninterrupted’s Maverick Carter.

According to the documentary series’ press release, Shot in the Dark tackles the stories of people that comprise a Chicago high school basketball team.

“Shot in the Dark” is the second feature film in the series, airing February 2018, produced by Los Angeles Media Fund and executive produced by Dwyane Wade and Chance the Rapper. Set against their hometown of Chicago, the film follows Orr Academy’s high school basketball team and its stars Tyquone Greer and Marquise Pryor as they aspire for greatness under inspirational head coach, Lou Adams, while facing systemic injustices that threaten to claim their future.

LeBron James has been involved in plenty of projects outside of basketball. He’s got his media company, pizza business, endorsements, and now a documentary show to oversee, but there seems to be no problem for the four-time MVP in juggling all his side endeavors.
