With Wednesday night’s 100-97 victory over the Indiana Pacers, the Cleveland Cavaliers have evened the series at one game apiece. And while there were several notable moments in the game, there was also one that was rather alarming for Wine and Gold Nation, as Kevin Love seemed to have injured his left hand in the fourth quarter.

Love appeared to jam his left thumb while swiping for the ball. The former UCLA standout immediately winced in pain, then later made his way to the bench for an evaluation from the Cavs’ athletic trainer, Steve Spiro. Love’s hand was then taped and he did not return to play, leaving most fans of the team wondering about his status.

It seemed scary at the time, especially when you consider the fact that it is the same hand that Love injured earlier this season. However, according to a report from FOX Sports Ohio’s Fred McLeod, Love is “fine” and “ready to go for Game 3.”

Love logged 35 minutes in Wednesday night’s win, scoring 15 points on 5-16 shooting from the field (2-6 from beyond the arc) and eight rebounds.

When asked why Love did not return to play, Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue stated that he simply thought the team had “a good flow going.”

Friday night’s Game 3 matchup is set to tip at 7:00 p.m. EST inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse with ESPN, FOX Sports Ohio and FOX Sports Indiana having live broadcast coverage.
