In the wee hours of a cold and snowy Thursday morning, Cleveland Cavaliers sharpshooter J.R. Smith took to social media to reveal that he and his wife, Jewel, are expecting a fourth child.

Smith, now 32 years of age, appears to be super excited about his family’s big news.

J.R. Smith and his wife have three daughters as of today (Demi, Payton, and Dakota). The gender of their new bundle of joy is still unclear.

As most hoops fans know, the Smith family went through quite a scare earlier this year. Dakota, their third daughter, was born nearly five months premature. However, after spending over 100 days in Cleveland-area NICU unit, she was finally healthy enough to go home with her family in May.

In his 28 games played for the Cavs this season, “Swish,” as he’s came to be known, has turned in averages of 8.2 points on 38.6 percent shooting from the field (35.7 percent from beyond the arc), 3.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest.

J.R. Smith and the Cavs will square off against Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night inside Quicken Loans Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Ohio and NBA on TNT having live broadcast coverage.

Join us in congratulating J.R. and the Smith family!
