Following the announcements made by other teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers have followed suit and made their preseason schedule known, via Cavs.com. The defending Eastern Conference champions are slated to appear in five games, as part of their build up for next season’s grind.

Their series of exhibition games will begin on October 4th, when they host the Atlanta Hawks, followed up by another home game two nights after against the Indiana Pacers. They will then travel to the nation’s capital on October 8th to face the Washington Wizards inside the Capital One Arena, before heading back home for a match against the Chicago Bulls on October 10. They will end their preseason on the road with a matchup versus the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center.

The five-game set will give their supporters an opportunity to see their team in action for the first time since losing to the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the Finals back in June. It will also be the debut of Derrick Rose for the Wine and Gold, who has been the main addition to their roster this summer.

Cedi Osman, Jeff Green, and Jose Calderon are the other key pieces the Cavs have added in the offseason. It remains to be seen if these signings will be enough to take them to another Finals appearance and win another title, but it will all start in the preseason games, which will give the Cleveland faithful a glimpse of what’s in store for their team next year.
